About

Hi, my name is Hannah.

I'm a theatremaker and library professional from Milwaukee, WI. I’m a CIS, white, non-disabled woman and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I read lots of kidlit. Middle grade. YA. I like if there's magic. I like realistic fiction too, especially if it makes me cry. I love teaching, telling lame jokes, and exploring the exciting world we live in. I'm a pretty enthusiastic nerd.

My partner and I moved to the UK in autumn of 2019. I’m currently working in a secondary school library, which means two things:
  • I’m learning a lot about how libraries function outside the US
  • I get to spend my days bantering with British teenagers

About the blog name:
When I was first looking at library schools, a prospective professor told me how a librarian friend of hers defines his role in the library as a "Curator of Rebellion." And I thought..."What?! So cool. So punk. So library."

That phrase stuck with me and made me feverish for my own super hero/underground spy/librarian title. Ever since, I've been mulling over my own version and I landed on "wonder" as the spark that drives my own reading, my desire to share stories with young people, and the drive to get kids excited about books and learning. So here I am. All full of wonder and excited to share it.

Check out some examples of my work.
